Wheat bags offer a natural and reusable alternative to traditional hot or cold compresses.
When heated, they may help:

When chilled, they may help:
- Reduce swelling, inflammation, and bruising
- Ease minor sprains or strains

Using Your Wheat Bag – Heated
- Place the wheat bag flat in the center of the microwave. Ensure it does not obstruct the turntable.
- Do not heat for more than 1 minute at a time. If further heating is needed, shake and turn the bag between intervals.
- Stop immediately if you detect a burning smell.
- Carefully remove and gently shake to redistribute the contents.
- Always check the temperature is comfortable before use.
- Allow to cool completely before reheating or storing on a non-combustible surface (e.g. kitchen sink).

Using as a Cold Compress
- Place the wheat bag in a sealed plastic bag.
- Chill in the refrigerator or freezer for at least 45 minutes before use.
Storage, Cleaning & Maintenance
- Ensure the bag is completely cool and dry before storing.
- Store in a cool, dry place with this leaflet.
- Spot clean only with a damp cloth.
- Do not wash or immerse in water.
- Heat at least once per month to prevent spoilage.

Replace every six months for hygiene and safety.
Overheating Warning
Signs of overheating include:
- Burning smell
- Charring
- Smoke
If any of these occur, place the wheat bag on a non-combustible surface and allow it to cool fully before disposal.
Wheat bags made with 100% cotton are biodegradable and compostable.
Safety Warnings
- Do not overheat.
- Do not use if burnt or smelling scorched.
- Do not leave unattended in the microwave.
- Do not apply immediately if overheated—let it cool first.
- Do not use on one area for more than 5 minutes continuously.
- Use with caution on children or elderly individuals—always supervise.
- Do not use under bedding.
- Microwave use only—do not heat in ovens or on stovetops.
- Do not add oils or fragrances—these increase fire risk.
